Remember the Sanna Annukka- paper I showed some time ago? Last night I found a small scrap of it and decided to put in good use. Of course at first I had to come up with the good use and in the end I settled on receipt holder. My thrifty and crafty shopping needs to get organized and organizing is more fun when it is pretty. Okay, let’s start.

Start with an any old book and rip all the pages out leaving the end paper in only on one of the covers.

You should have something like this in your hands. Spread glue along the spine and on the cover without the end paper.

Rub the spine vigorously and you can be sure it sticks. Then press with your finger the fold and then continue with the end paper.

Now you can take your pretty paper and cut it to measure. As I only had a small scrap left of the Sanna Annukka paper, I only had 6 millimetres or so to spare on top and bottom. 2 centimetres would have been ideal.

Next phase...Take a bunch of envelopes (size depends on the book you use) and glue them shut. Then cut the edges off where you want the opening to be. It can be on the short or long edge, it really doesn't matter which one. After you're done the cutting, put long strip of double-sided tape on two of the envelopes, like shown in the picture. I made a mistake and did it on all four of mine. Then on the rest, a short one in the center will do.

In here the tape is in correct place. This is a must if you want the accordion effect. At this point, cut another piece of paper little bit larger than the envelopes. You need about 1,5 centimetres on the bottom to fold over the envelopes. Use double-sided tape to attach.
All you have to do next is to use double-sided tape to attach the whole shebang on the book frame.

This is the reason you need to use only short strips on the envelopes. It's what enables the accordion effect...
Ta-daah! You are done!
