Fairies & Fantasy

Can you believe, I actually have a story behind this card? It’s pretty clever even if I say so myself. Last night, as I was making this card, I looked at the digi and thought it looks like zombie spagetti. From there my train of thought went like this: spagetti is food. There’s a magazine called Food, right? Hah , wouldn’t it be funny if zombies had a food magazine? What would it be called? BRAAINS!!!

I dug up all the green and halloween-y papers from my stash and got to open my brand new green glitter bottle. The glitter, naturally, will be found around my flat weeks to come but I think the end result is worth it.

Who doesn’t like glittered chipboard letters? No one, I say.

I used Dimensional Magic on the eyes to bring out their grosness (is that a word? No, the red squiggly line says no.) My rough handling caused the dents on the eyes but I think in this context, the mistakes are fine.

So here it is, the first ever issue of a magazine for foodie zombies, BRAAINS! Where all the issues are marked number 31. I’m entering this card in following challenges:

Paper Playtime: Challenge #86- Welcome to Booville
Pile It On #43: Holiday, any Holiday
I <3 Promarkers: Challenge 139- Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday: Challenge 239- Got Glitter
Dilly Beans: Cute And Creepy
Stampin’ For The Weekend: Challenge 19- Something Spooky
One Stop Craft Challenge: Challenge 201- Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin’ Challenge: Boo, it’s Halloween
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: #186- No Rules
Whoopsi Daisy: Halloween

Okay this is so very clever. I like the way your braain works. I doupt that I would like any of the recipies in that magazine. You won’t see Sandra Lee or Paula Dean cookin these up on Food TV any time soon but I’ll bet your Zombie friends will love it. Great Job with the eyes too. The inperfections are perfect. Thanks for playing along with us at Dilly Beans this week.

This certainly does capture the Hallowe’en spirit! Love the glittered letters and, yes, the eyeballs are gross but that’s OK because they’re supposed to be! Thank you for playing at Sweet Stampin’ this week. Tracey x
