My stitchy journey continues with Buttonhole Wheel. I actually did this stitch with my sampler number 2: buttonhole/blanket stitch but luckily this stitch is so versatile, there’s plenty of variations to try.
Definitely not my best stitching but the ric rac shape is what draws your eye in the first so unless you pay attention to it, the unevenness disappears.
I tried the frame to stay upright but it kept rolling. Sorry about the slight tilt! How about the pillowcase in the background? I love it. The entire colour story in this picture screams 1950′s Christmas to me.
So, yesterday Sharon posted the stitch numero 30. This means I have 6 stitches to go. Well 5 as one is on my ironing board, ready to have its name stamped on it. Here’s the list of the stitches I still have to do:
Cable Chain Stitch (the one on the ironing board!)
Palestrina Stitch
Bonnet Stitch
Up And Down Buttonhole
Basque Stitch
Oyster Stitch
