TAST 19: Half Chevron Wheels

Now here’s a stitch I like. I decided to make wheels with it but I can see it transformed as snowflakes, cathedral windows etc. etc. My only regret was using variegated floss as it was with lazy daisy, the colour change kept throwing me off when going around in circles. Does anyone else have this problem?

I would have benefited from printing the circles and then tracing them rather than freehanding them with a pencil. I bought a new tracing pen yesterday so now on I there won’t be any embarrassing pencil lines showing in my pics.

The back looked very interesting too. Another way of doing a sand dollar, perhaps?

My stitching is horrible but try to see the possibility in the stitch itself.

Yup, I like half chevron. How about  you? The next stitch on the list is the bullion knot. My other samplers are listed here.

I have few good tips. Get one hoop (I started with one tiny 4 inch hoop), some floss in colours you like, some pieces of fabric and then go to Pin Tangle and join TAST!!! With less than 10 euros you’ll be an embroiderer in no time!
