TAST 15: Little Green Stem

Here’s a stitch I’ve tried before but somehow couldn’t get it to look smooth. But practice makes perfect and I think that this stitch is going to be featured regularly in my work. Like the name says, stem stitch is perfect for creating stems for your embroidered flowers.

I got the stem shape from a piece of scrapbook paper I had left and the snowball blossoms are from my imagination! I was still on a satin stitch roll so I wanted to continue practicing it.

Next in line, the dreaded French Knot! My other samplers are located here.
