TAST 14: Pinwheel Satin Stitch

Satin stitch, how I love thee! The queen of all stitches! After the barred chain, I was more than happy to jump into making satin stitch sampler. It took me nearly two hours to find inspiration for it though. I wanted to use cheerful imagery on this and in the end decided on pinwheels!

Is it too much to declare I love these colours?

Do I have any regrets? Just couple. One, I used a pencil to mark things and it didn’t come off in wash. Two, I didn’t plan the lay out and sketched directly on my stitching material. Had I properly designed this, the result would have been even better. But hey, this is part of the learning, right?

Masking tape is a multi-use tool. From a wood shop to an embroidery hoop, it helps any crafter in need.

Next stitch: Stem stitch and my other samplers are here.
