Past weekend was the second annual Rovaniemi Old Market Fair http://rovaniemenwanhatmarkkinat.fi/en/index.phpThe vendors were requested to wear pre 1950′s clothing which I was very excited about. Alas, the weather got suddenly very cold and autumnal and I had to forget my plans to wear a fab cocktail dress and pumps.
This was one of the gates leading into the market areas.
From another angle. Can you see my Sweetcase?
The terrible, terrible view I had to endure during the Market. It’s the Kemijoki- river. I am old enough to remember the days when timber for the paper factories were floated along it. Apparently it still would be the cheapest and the most ecological way of moving timber around but those pesky dams prevent it from happening.
I have tons of more pictures to show you, from my favourite vendors to three extremely fashionable people. Their look is something I’m aspiring to do myself next year. Hint: Teeny Weeny Waist Action.
