As promised, here is the project I tried to post already a month ago but didn’t succeed. I scored ton of nice things at that time but my main source of happiness came from finding a nicely shaped suitcase with a CHEAP price tag. I had been drooling over those pimped suitcases for ever but didn’t want to spend tons of money on something I might ruin. Might: as in “Most definitely capable of ruining any item with any means possible”.
The excitement was palpable.
Whoaaaah. I think I got high from the spray paint. I’ve been dabbling with spray paint this summer and let me tell you…IT’S NOT EASY!!! Why does everyone else seem to do it so effortlessly? No streaks, even coats…things that might seem so obvious as in how to but to me…Total mystery. Back to the project.
After the spray paint dried. I made a pattern for cutting some fabric for the lid and the bottom of the suitcase.
I didn’t think of taking pictures when I glued the fabric on the lids but I did take a pic of adding the innards.
I think the clothespins are especially adorable. I bought them about 4 years ago from HEMA (similar to Target) and I regret buying only one package.
At this point, the smells of spray glue and hot glue are still fighting over dominance. I’m again/still high. But the finished product is soooo puurrrty. See yourselves!
I used this at the market fair to display some of my products. Those products didn’t so well but tons of people wanted to buy the Sweetcase. Note to myself: Change your product.

Hiano tuli!
